Central Albania Weekend (3 days, 2 nights)
1st Day
Arrival in airport "Mother Teresa", Durres Harbour or Tirana. Accommodation in hotel or rented flats. Visit the town: historical monuments, architectural sites and dinner in a local food specialised restaurant. Coffee on the Vodafone Tower, enjoy the panorama, have a little talk about Tirana’s recent history and taking pictures. A taste of nightlife and back to the hotel.
2nd Day
Breakfast in hotel and departure to Lezha. Visit the memorial dedicated to the national hero, Skanderbeg then heading towards Kune-Vain, amazing lagoon and national park. Dinner in the park then drive to Kruja. Visit the Skanderbeg Museum and the Ethnographical Museum. Drive to Durres. Accommodation in beach hotel.
3rd Day
Breakfast on the beach. Visit the castle and the roman amphitheatre. Dinner in a fish restaurant on the beach. Drive to the harbour, Tirana or Rinas for transfer.

Arrival in "Mother Teresa" Airport, Durres harbour. Evening in Tirana. Dinner in Petrela, visit the castle and Tirana countryside. Accommodation in private flats or 3 star hotels in Centertown.
1st Day
Breakfast and coffee break on the way to Durres. Visit the Archaeological Museum, drive on top of the hill and take pictures of the splendid morning panorama of the Durres Bay and visit the Roman Amphitheatre. First taste of a swim in the Adriatic Sea. Dinner in Divjaka, the resort neighbouring the Karavasta Lagoon, one of the richest natural spots for those who love bird watching or fishing. Eventual visit to the lagoon and the neighbouring forest. Barbeque dinner with local products. Accommodation in a comfortable hotel or in rented local houses.
2nd Day
Breakfast in Divjaka. Departure to Berat, “the thousand windows”, 2400 years old city. Visit the castle and the old town. Visit the museum dedicated to Onufri, a famous iconostas Albanian painter, next visit the Ethnographic Museum. Lunch in a traditional Albanian food specialised restaurant in the old town. Overnight in Berat characteristic hotel or rented house.
3rd Day
Breakfast and departure to the Osumi Canyon. Visit the Canion and the countryside, the local people, enjoy the food and of course the local famous raki. Departure to Vlora. Arrival in the evening. Visit the Kusum Baba hill; enjoy the panorama of the Vlora Bay and the delicious dinner. Accommodation in local hotels.
4th Day
Breakfast on the beach. Visit the Zvernec Island and its church. Lunch and local delicious wine. Departure and coffee break in the Llogara pass. Arrival in Dhermi. Accommodation in hotel or local rented houses. Enjoy nightlife if summer or chilling beach activities in any season.
5th Day
Breakfast in Dhermi. Departure to Himara. Visit the Porto Palermo Bay and the Vasiliqia’s (or Ali Pasha’s) Castle. Lunch in a local restaurant or barbeque fresh fish and local products from the region. Coffee break in Borsh. Chilling activities. Accommodation in local Qeparo rented houses. Dinner in Qeparo.
6th Day
Breakfast in Qeparo, wake-up swim and on the road to Saranda. Visit the Kakome Valley. Refreshment swim in the amazing turquoise waters of the bay and follow to Saranda for lunch and accommodation in hotel or rented local flats and houses. Visit the archaeological site and park of Butrint. Visit the Lekuresi Castle in the evening, dinner and free time to follow.
7th Day
Breakfast in hotel and visit the Syri I Kalter (Blue Eye). Visit the source, refreshment and on the way to Gjirokastra (Silver Castle). Visit the town, the castle, the Weapon Museum. Lunch and visit the Ethnographical Museum. Follow in Uji I Ftohte in Tepelena, visit the city of Tepelena and the path of Ali Pasha’s castle and drive towards Permet. Dinner in the countryside. Overnight in local hotels.
8th Day
Breakfast then drive to the surrounding natural sites forests, mountains and refreshment in natural mineral sources of Benja. Follow to Leskovik and lunch in Erseka countryside. Visit a natural protected area for fauna and flora in Erseka then drive to Korca. Accommodation in a local hotel, visit the traditional and old bourgeois town, dinner to follow and free to enjoy nightlife in town.
9th Day
Breakfast and departure early in the morning to Pogradec, visit Lin an interesting ancient village on the lake, have lunch and drive west on the path of Via Egnatia, Tirana direction. Stop in Elbasan for a coffee break and then drive to Tirana. Drive on the Dajti Mountain, dominating the Albanian capital for dinner and accommodation in comfortable hotel.
10th Day
Breakfast in Dajti, drive to Tirana and departure to Kruja. Visit the Skanderbeg Museum, the Ethnographical Museum. Lunch with Albanian typical cuisine then visit the Flea Market. Drive down to Lezha, visit the Memorial Skanderbeg Tomb. Drive to Vau I Dejes, enjoy the landscape and have dinner in a wonderful local restaurant. Drive to Shkodra for accommodation in town hotels.
11th Day
Breakfast in Shkodra. Visit the legendary Rozafa Castle and then jump back in time through a photo trip from the Marubi’s Phototeque. Departure for Theth, northern Albanian natural hotspot. Barbeque and picnic on the way. Enjoy local natural food and hospitality in rented local houses or hotel facilities.
12th Day
Breakfast and drive back to Shkodra then Tirana. Free time for shopping, visiting the capital and preparing the way back home. Drive to Rinas or Durres harbour.

We’re working to develop this project in collaboration with little rural communities in different areas of Albania. This kind of travel generates financial resources for the communities involved and gives them an opportunity to understand the importance of conserving and protecting natural ways to deal with the surrounding natural resources, while it gives you a taste of travel in past times and an unforgettable experience in the heart of vivid Albanian hospitality and nature.
1st Day
Arrival in Tirana. Accommodation in comfortable little rented flats in Tirana downtown. Welcome Albanian dinner in a village restaurant, a jump to the pool and back to Tirana for a coffee break in top of the Sky Tower with view on the city. Back home.
2nd Day
Breakfast and departure to South. Lunch in Berat. Visit the Castle, the Old Town and museums. Overnight in the One thousand and one windows town.
3rd Day
Heading south, early in the morning. Visit the archaeological park of Apollonia in Fier. Swim and lunch in Rradhima /Vlora. Arrival in Qeparo, accommodation in hosting families. Introduction and welcome, sea products-based dinner and local wine.
4th Day
Breakfast. Visiting the fish elevation resorts in the Porto Palermo Bay, snorkling, paddling, swimming. Barbequed “omega 3” lunch. Visit the Castle of Ali Pasha. Gardening activities. Dinner in Borsh. Overnight in Qeparo.
5th Day
Breakfast. Trekking with goat shepherds in the surrounding mountains. Visit the old churches, enjoy the panorama and take pictures. Back to Qeparo. Swim, lunch and departure to Buthrintos. Visit the site and the park. Dinner in Lekuresi Castle. Overnight in beautiful Saranda.
6th Day
Breakfast. Drive back north. Visit Gjirokastra and follow. Stop for lunch in Divjaka/ Lushnja. Visit the lagoon and the forest. Drive to Tirana. Accommodation in host families. Dinner and hangout to Tirana clubbing activities.
Breakfast in town, shopping souvenirs and departure to Rinas Airport or Durres Harbour.

2nd day
Breakfast and departure to Kruja. Visit the Skanderbeg Museum, the Ethnography Museum. Lunch with traditional, Albanian cuisine then visit the Flea Market. Drive down to Lezha, visit the castle and the Skanderbeg Memorial Tomb. Drive to Shkodra for accommodation in town hotels.
3rd Day
Breakfast in Shkodra. Visit the legendary Rozafa Castle and then step back in town to visit the Marubi’s Phototeque. Departure for Theth, a northern Albanian natural hotspot. Barbeque and piqnique en route. Enjoy local natural food and hospitality in rented local houses or hotel facilities.
4th Day
Breakfast and drive back to Shkodra then Tirana. Visit the Petrela Castle in the countryside. Take pictures and drive back to have dinner in one of the many restaurants of the town. Hang out for a clubbing night.
5th Day
Breakfast. Free time for shopping, exploring the capital and preparing for the journey home. Drive to Rinas or Durres harbour.
