Winter Bird-Watching Albania

In December, January, February and March Albania becomes paradise for both birds and bird-lovers. We’re offering a day tour to bring you to some of Albania’s best bird-watching areas. Drop us an email to give us more details about when you are coming and how many people are in your group! Depending on the season and where the higher activity of birds is, we will adapt this day according to your needs. Unlike the other ones, this tour needs to start early morning and we really mean that! Please note that we have a Six Day Bird-watching Tour as well. Also remember that these tours are just teasers and we will,  in case you will need – customize them according to your timing (of course we can design a multi-day weekend or tour), physical ability, interest, budget and period of the year!

Program:

• We’ll pick you up at your hotel at the latest 0700 (we might leave earlier.) Next, we’ll drive to the Lagoon of Karavasta (or an alternative place according to the season and where birding activity might be best.) We’ll meet our local guide (in some cases an ornithologist, the park ranger or another properly trained professional.)
• We will walk and spend the day in the visited area trying to combine nature, history and some of the local food. We’ll have a set menu lunch in a specially selected family restaurant.
• Bird-watching until sunset. Drive back to your Tirana hotel (about 1h30′ drive from Karavasta.)

Price will include:

All transfers in AC car (van or minivan) with professional guide and driver.

Entrance fee in park.

Lunch (set menu not including drinks.) In some areas and occasions we might prepare a picnic lunch.
