We are pretty sure to be able to surprise you with our small but very interesting collection of books, calls for Marxist  literature competition, Canadian Communist Party publicity to travel Albania in the 80ies and hundreds of objects related to Communist (but not only) and Albanian life, stories and history. In case you DSC00181

are spending a bit of time in Tirana and have already visited or don’t have enough time to spend in a big museum like the National History one, drop us an email and come and visit our garden and our collection. This will add a lot of charm to your visit of Tirana. Wherever in the world you come from, we’re certain this is going to be interesting. We’re showing here some facts and elements from the part that most Albanians are not aware – a good part of the objects we’re illustrating the story with have been thrown away (mainly by young modern brides) and replaced with cheap post Communist elements – we’re not nostalgic but we’ve been good at preserving and we’re certainly good at telling! So do come and visit us also to try the Raki we do with the grapes of the garden next door and why not a fantastic Turkish coffee that will help you stay awake for the rest of the day! Since we’re not very fancy and business minded yet (but it has started to happen) when it comes to our collection, we will not charge but will be happy to let you put a little contribution to the maintenance and hopefully the expanding of our collection in the future too.

We’re organizing a four-day group tour to see Albania’s famous lagoons and we’ll mainly focus on bird-watching and nature! It is definitely designed for those with a love of the outdoors but we will indeed visit other points of interest that don’t have to do with birds or fauna. The group will aim to have a maximum of 12 participants and we’ll only run it if we will manage to have a minimum of 4 participants. Get in touch!
Please keep in mind that the itinerary will be flexible in order to allow for the best viewings!  We will have a more complete itinerary closer to the date but we do know where we’ll be staying each night.  From there we can make the best plans for you according to conditions and interests. The ones to help decide that will be our local ornithology specialists that we’ll hire to lead us through the best areas to visit for birds. This will make for a very fun trip!
We did this tour last year and were quite amazed by all the new things we learned and by the enthusiasm of our amazing friends from Karavasta, one of the most famous parks in Albania.
Albanian Trip and PPNEA are trying to promote the natural, historical and human beauties of Divjaka as well as trying to help local communities get stronger. Quite close to Tirana and Central Albania, this is a great place to visit – it’s the Kingdom of the Curly Pelican of Albania!
We have set a date for the tour and we’ve chosen it to be in peak of the newborn season when the activity in the lagoons among the resident bird communities is at its highest!
Please keep in mind that we also have a Day Trip we offer of bird watching.
Contact us for more information on the calendar of 2017 and 2018 group departures. Winter & Spring 2018 are expected to be offering a lot of birding activity in Albanian wetlands.
4 day group tours opened for bookings. Tours to start on :
December 16th 2017
January 05th 2018
January 21st 2018
We’ll be happy to discuss more departure dates during the season of Winter 2018 for the months of February, March and April too.
An extension to the tour can be definitely discussed for groups or individual tours. We’ll certainly be good at adding a bit of chilly from the best historical, artistic, culinary sides of Albania and the region.
