The Botanical Tour of Albania

Calling all plant lovers! After partnering with the Geneva Botanical Association (and recently with the Association Botanique de France) and having offered wonderful tours of Albania, Northern Macedonia and Kosovo, we’re more than excited to launch our very own Botanical Tour of Albania. This tour is designed to be flexible. We would be happy to discuss with you how many days you have to set aside – whether just a few days or an entire week – and we will come up with the best plan of action while following advice from some of the most informed specialists of Albania and Europe.
Of course, the seasons are important and we will aim to make these journeys when conditions are ideal for following specific flower and plant routes.  We can tell you that the tour will be based mostly in the lush and mountainous northern region of Albania. Here we will explore the rich natural aspects of the region. However, if you have more time to set aside, we can journey to other parts of the country.
Rather than setting an itinerary in stone here, get in touch with us!  Let us know the number of days you have free, when you are coming and from there we can begin to discuss what opportunities there are.
Price:
The price will be discussed based on the duration and number in your group.
Payment Options: We accept bank transfers, PayPal and we have a debit terminal/POS available at our Castle Kiosk Tourist Office in order to accept Debit, VISA and Mastercard payments (please keep in mind that 5% of the total will be added for the latter option.)  We can also accept cash payments where applicable.
The price will inlcude:
  • Fuel and AC car rental
  • All expenses for professional guide/driver
  • Entrance fees at the suggested sites

  1. As a member of the botanist group that visited south Albania in April, I would like to give you my feedback …
Like Elton said “fortunately everything is not definitively tragic!” in this country under construction (literally and in the figurative) shuffled by so many historical stories between Orient and Occident, nevertheless with this unique language.
From the mountains to the see, fertile cultivated plains with fruits, vegetables and cereals look like a lost paradise … for botanists. The rivers are wild and free, but for how long? The hillsides are not covered with roads, and the sky is blue without airplanes and helicopters in every direction. Hardly any constructions at the edge of beaches, the olive trees and pasture are still undamaged, yeahhh!
The cuisine offers numerous simmered dishes, lamb, grilled vegetables. And raki of course! Elsewhere, some very good wine of Berat.
Elton puts all his heart so that we love his country. He chooses hotels carefully and with relevance. He knows how to tell stories to captivate his public thanks to his knowledge of the history and his personal testimony.
Thank you a lot for having widened our vision of Europe!
    “Ikim”, see you soon Albania…
